De Wet Jacobs
De Wet Jacobs holds two tertiary qualifications, namely a BComm Economics and Law degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree.
He has also written and passed the four compulsory Board exams over the course of 2014 and 2015 during his employment as candidate attorney at Otto Krause Attorneys. He was then admitted as an attorney during February 2016.
During his articles he showed interest and gained valuable experience in the administration of deceased estates, estate planning, civil and commercial litigation.
He then took up employment as a Legal Advisor at Globeflight Worldwide Express (Pty) Ltd from March 2016 until February 2018, where he was entrusted with the management of IR, BBBEE and OHSA. He further acted on the employment equity committee and represented the company at bargaining councils and the CCMA.
During his employment at Globeflight he gained experience in labour law, commercial law, BBBEE, OHSA and IR. During February 2018 he took up employment at Rudolf Fuls Legal Costs Consultant as a legal cost consultant, attending to the drafting of bills of costs, presentation thereof for taxation, oppositions of bills of cost and opinion drafting.
He has experience in taxing in the Magistrate/Regional Courts, High Courts, Constitutional Court, SCA, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court and Competition Commission Tribunal.
He has successfully acquired the necessary organizational and problem-solving skills equipping him for the practice of law. He has worked hard and established himself as an able and respected legal practitioner in both the practice as well as within the corporate environment.
